MKB Unionbank is the "Most Dynamic Bank” in Bulgaria

MKB Unionbank was awarded for Most Dynamic Bank” in Bulgaria during the traditional ceremony   “Bank of the year”, organized by “Pari Daily”. The prize was adjudged for the excellent performance of the MKB Unionbank in 2008. The bank Oscar was bestowed on Maria Ilieva, Chief executive officer of the bank.

“The award for “Most Dynamic Bank” is an acknowledgement of the efforts that MKB Unionbank laid in the recent years. We are particularly glad that we managed to win recognition as the most dynamic credit institution in Bulgaria . The prize is even more valuable now in these full with challenges times”, said Maria Ilieva. “The award besides acknowledgement is a serious commitment for us to continue our dynamic development and in the future”, she added.

The assets of MKB Unionbank increased over two and a half times and the credit portfolio tripled for the last two years. The total asset increased by 50% in 2008. At the same time, the average growth rate of this indicator in the banking market this indicator was about two times lower.   The past 2008 was successful for MKB Unionbank with the volume of profit, which amounted to 14.5 million and is almost 100 percent higher than reported in 2007.

Recently, Maria Ilieva has received the award “Banker of the Year” during the ceremony organized by “Banker” Weekly.  The award was given because of the won trust of the stakeholders and the successful development of MKB Unionbank.
